AAC Cards
Privacy Policy for AAC Cards
Effective date: March 15, 2026
*What This App Does*
AAC Cards is an AAC aid that lets you create and display text cards organized into groups. It is designed for use by anyone who might prefer to use a "card"-like way of communicating.
*Data We Collect*
We collect no data. AAC Cards does not transmit any information to us or any third party.
*Data Stored on Your Device and in Your iCloud Account*
All content you create — card groups, cards, and app settings — is stored exclusively in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is:
- Accessible only to you through your Apple ID
- Governed by https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Never visible to the app developer
The scratchpad text is stored locally on your device only and is never uploaded anywhere.
*Biometric Data*
If you protect a card group with the privacy lock, AAC Cards uses Face ID or Touch ID through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. The app never sees or stores your biometric data; authentication is handled entirely by iOS.
*Data Sharing*
We do not share any data with anyone. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party services in this app.
*Children's Privacy*
This app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
*Changes to This Policy*
If this policy changes materially, the updated policy will be posted with a new effective date.
